Cupcake Liner Initial

I'm in love with this cupcake liner L I made to decorate for Lila's birthday.  I purposefully made the L white so I could use it in her room after the party, but it looks so nice in our dining room that I haven't taken it down yet!  I guess I could make a W to take its place, since a random L doesn't make much sense.

This was super easy to make.  I used the flaps off of a cardboard box to make the L.  Then I sat in front of the tv and watched 1.5 movies while I hot glued the cupcake liners all over the cardboard.  I glued them pretty close together so the cardboard wouldn't show through.  I think I ended up using about 175 liners, but the L is almost 2 ft. tall, so I had a lot of space to fill!  I did get one pretty bad hot glue burn on my thumb, but I love hot glue so I won't hold that against it.

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3: Glue all over shape of choice.

Step 4:

And up close:

Love, love, love!  L for love?  That kind of makes sense in the dining room.  Or maybe lasagna??
